Determination of Fogging Characteristics

The German industrial norm DIN 75201 describes methods for testing components of the automotive interior towards fogging behaviour. The amount of fogging is quantified by light scattering (method A) or gravimetric (method B). The DIN 75201 is applied by the majority of German manufacturers. 

The corresponding SAE J1756 is applied throughout the US, VW is focusing on the gravimetric method in its PV 3015.
